Ah, Holy Jesus, How Hast Thou Offended
Jesus' death on the cross was horrible. The sinless Christ was abandoned by God Almighty. But why did He die? "Who was the guilty? Who brought this upon Thee? 'Twas I, Lord Jesus, I it was denied Thee. I crucified Thee." My sins, your sins, put Jesus on the cross. He paid the price for those sins, that He may give us eternal life!
Sing our hymn of the week, "Ah Holy Jesus, How Has Thou Offended?" often this week. Meditate on it and know that Jesus died for me and for you. We deserve death, He gave us life. We deserve hell, He gave us heaven. As you sing this hymn, let the power of these words bring you to Christ.For in Christ, our suffering Savior, we find forgiveness, joy, and God's grace.
